the find
− 0.6 mAyutthaya, 1563. Kirin, the seventeen-year-old son of a neglected veteran, enters royal service with a gift for swordplay and a distaste for hurting people. War gives him the authority to protect a household, then a company, then part of the capital — and every promotion gives him people he can be ordered to sacrifice. The city's first fall cannot be prevented. The player decides who survives it, what is preserved, and what kind of man Kirin becomes.
It is designed as a role-playing game with the immediacy of a weapons fighting game: distance, timing, stance and reading an opponent matter before equipment statistics. Sword and shield open it; paired swords, polearms, bows, matchlocks and unarmed exchanges widen the vocabulary; command grows to infantry, archers, cavalry, river craft and elephants.
The story bible is the published artifact: the whole campaign, the opening chapter in English and in Thai, twenty-one characters in generated graphite-style portraits, a schematic map of the island city, and a historical review that separates what the sources support from what the game invents. One switch turns every word — navigation, map and research notes included — into ไทย.

− 1.3 mThe bible is written as markdown masters — English, Thai, and the review — and compiled by a small Node script into a single self-contained reader of about 510 KB that works offline. A headless check walks it before every publish: links, section search, mobile navigation, the map dialog, overflow at phone width. ?lang=th opens it in Thai and the choice is remembered.
Behind the bible sits a native prototype in Godot: all sixteen opening scenes of Chapter 1, canal and river travel, observation clues and a journal, two staff duels, checkpoints, English and Thai. Every speaking character carries a "soul" file — temperament, respect, mood — and conversations are typed and bounded, so a character can be surprised without being able to leave the century. Its graphics are placeholders on purpose: it is a storyboard that plays, not a finished game.

− 2.0 mField note, from the historical review: The corrections are the most careful writing in the project. The destruction of 1767 is not to be borrowed for the fall of 1569. Monuments whose 1563 form is unverified stay out of the opening skyline — "the familiar silhouette of a monument is not enough to date its appearance." On the map, a dashed eastern watercourse means uncertainty, not a ford. The Thai chapter is labelled a new adaptation, not a recovered original.
The elephants get the same discipline: they are "not armoured vehicles with trunks." They need handlers, food, room and attention to distress; panic threatens allies too; and Kirin does not sprint over bare backs or leap between charging animals. His first elephant assignment is the humblest one in the tradition — protecting the feet.
Chapter 1 ends unresolved, on a sparring floor, with a point levelled at Kirin's throat: "Yield, peasant." — ยอมเสีย ไพร่.
